So you’ll know what to expect when you visit our office for the first time, we’ve provided information about your new patient exam, forms you can download and bring to our office, and the types of payment methods we accept.

At your first visit, we’ll go over your new patient forms and confirm your insurance benefits, if applicable. Please bring your completed forms and your insurance card with you to speed the check-in process.

You’ll meet Dr. Sofrone or one of his associates to discuss your current oral health concerns and future goals. The doctor will perform a thorough exam that addresses teeth, gums, jaw joint function, bite alignment, and the condition of existing dental work. We’ll take xrays using our low radiation digital xray machine, and we may use an intraoral camera to take pictures inside your mouth.

The hygienist will clean your teeth at your first visit or at a subsequent appointment, depending on the length of your exam and discussion with Dr. Sofrone.

Before you leave, the dentist will convey his findings and discuss next steps.

You may pay for your dental work with cash, personal check, Master Card, or Visa.

We’ll file your dental insurance claim for you, work with your insurance company to maximize your reimbursement, and can accept assignment of benefits from your provider if allowable. This means that your insurance provider will remit payment directly to our office and you'll only be responsible for your deductible and the uncovered portion of your treatment at the time of your visit. Be sure to bring your insurance information to every appointment. We'll verify your benefits and help you understand coverage.

Dr. Sofrone treats emergency cases as soon as possible so call our office as soon as your emergency occurs. We will address your situation and relieve your discomfort, then schedule a follow-up appointment, if necessary, to perform additional dental work.
